January Peace Corner (4 weeks): 7-9 years old
Sundays* ~ 01/05/25 - 01/26/25
1:00pm - 3:00pm
Give your elementary-aged child the opportunity to decompress and socialize, while also learning new skills and receiving academic support when/if they need it. Each Peace Corner starts with a group gathering, where we will play music, read a chapter in our chosen book, and play a few warm up games to break the ice and get to know each other. At the end of gathering we will discuss our options for the afternoon. There will be one teacher-guided advanced lesson, 2 intermediate activities available, and 3-5 independent craft and/or art activities available. The children will choose their activities and set their own pace. This time period will be a time when children can receive a challenging lesson, work on a homework assignment, catch up on reading, or utilize the peaceful environment to focus on making art. Grownups are welcome to stay and quietly observe or socialize with other grownups. Grownups are also welcome to sign in their child and leave for the duration of the class time.
